We do not rent equipment on its own. Equipment is included when you book a lesson, which is the better way to start anyway. You get a bow that actually fits you and someone standing next to you while you learn to use it.

Closed-toe shoes, always. Beyond that, wear something that lets you draw a bow without a sleeve or a hood getting in the way. Leave loose jewellery and long earrings at home.

Yes. Anything brought in from outside gets checked at the desk and has to meet our safety standards. If something is not right we will tell you what it needs, and usually we can fix it while you are here.

Yes, targets are available at the front desk. On busy nights two shooters may share a bale, which is normal and works fine.

Yes, ask at the front desk about range cards and memberships. Buy a bow from us and you get a discount range card, honored for one year from the purchase date.

First-time shooters need prior instruction or approval from management before going on the line. The simplest path is a half-hour lesson: equipment, range time and an instructor are all included.

Seven years old to shoot on the range and to take a lesson. Every child has to be with a parent or guardian while they are here.

Half an hour or a full hour. A half hour is plenty for a first try. An hour is better if you want to actually start grooving a shot.

No. Ever wanted to try archery but did not have the equipment? That is exactly what the lesson rate with our gear is for. Bring yourself and closed-toe shoes.

Yes. All lessons are booked in advance and a deposit is required. Use the booking form or call the store during business hours.

Kids from age seven up. We run around a hundred and thirty kids through camp over a summer, in small groups, with certified instruction and all the equipment provided.

We do. Parties include equipment, range time, instruction and targets. A deposit is required and it is non-refundable, so pick your date carefully.

Most tune-ups are same-day or next-day when the shop is quiet. In the four weeks before bow season, plan on longer. That is our busiest stretch of the year, and everybody waits until the last minute. Come in early and you will not be one of them.

Groups that used to be tight start opening up. Arrows fishtail or porpoise. Your broadheads hit somewhere your field points do not. Or it has simply been a year. Any of those, bring it in.

Yes. Strings, cables, cocking devices, scope mounting and sighting in. Crossbows get the same bench time as everything else.

Of course. We are not going to lecture you about it. What we will say is that a bow fitted and tuned to you from the start shoots better than one that arrived in a box, and that is the part we are good at.

No appointment needed to drop off. Call ahead if you need it back on a specific day and we will tell you honestly whether that is doable.

Because a bow is not a size. It is a draw length, a draw weight, a grip, a release and a rest, all set to you. We fit it, tune it, put it on the range, and look it over twice before it leaves. And you get a discount range card for a year with any bow purchase.

It depends on who is going to carry it and how far you actually shoot. Come in, tell us where you hunt and what you can handle at full cock, and we will put two or three in your hands. That conversation goes better in person than in a paragraph.

Yes, and the rules change. New Jersey Fish and Wildlife publishes the current license requirements, seasons and zone maps. Go to the source rather than trusting anything you read second-hand, including us.

Because a broadhead has surfaces that steer. A bow that shoots field points fine can still be slightly out, and the broadhead will show you. Broadhead tuning fixes the bow, not the arrow, and it is worth doing before opening day rather than after.

Earlier than you think. A month out is comfortable. Two weeks out is a scramble. New strings, a full tune, arrows checked, broadheads sharp and shooting where your pins say.
