Kids a summer
And we still turn families away at the door.

Minimum age
Old enough to hold a bow steady and follow a range command.
11
Indoor lanes
Air conditioned, which matters more in July than you would think.
Why seven
At seven, most kids can hold a light bow steady enough to be safe, follow a range command reliably, and remember a sequence of steps from one arrow to the next. On a shooting line, attention is the safety system.
If your five-year-old is desperate, bring them in to watch a session. Twenty minutes on the bench behind the line tells you a lot, and it costs nothing.

Friday Night Lights. Two lines, five or six o’clock, eight weeks, from age seven. Where camp kids go when they want to keep going.
On the range, with equipment, instruction and targets included. A deposit is required and it is non-refundable, so pick the date carefully.
One instructor, one kid, half an hour or an hour. The fastest way to fix a habit before it sets, and a good option for a child who finds a group overwhelming.
For parents
Please. Every summer somebody arrives with a big-box bow that is four inches off on draw length because the box said "youth." A bow that does not fit teaches a child that archery is frustrating, and that lesson is very hard to undo.
Your child has one voice to listen to on the line, and there is a reason it is not yours. Sit back and let them tell you about it in the car. That is when you get the real version anyway.
Kids who are going to stay with this get curious after a bad arrow. They want to know why. That is the tell, not the score.
Reserve a spot
Send this and we will come back to you with current dates, sessions and pricing. If a week is already full we will tell you straight rather than leaving you hanging.
What parents ask
Seven years old to shoot on the range and to take a lesson. Every child has to be with a parent or guardian while they are here.
Half an hour or a full hour. A half hour is plenty for a first try. An hour is better if you want to actually start grooving a shot.
No. Ever wanted to try archery but did not have the equipment? That is exactly what the lesson rate with our gear is for. Bring yourself and closed-toe shoes.
Yes. All lessons are booked in advance and a deposit is required. Use the booking form or call the store during business hours.

Camp
Talk to a pro
A couple of lessons, then camp, then Friday Night Lights. Some of them are still shooting here twenty years later, with their own kids on the bench.
